Dr. Amrita Shah
I bought this practice in 2018 because I wanted to slow it down. The corporate pace I trained in — fifteen-minute exams, scripted upsells — never sat right with me.
So I run a small office. I see eight to ten patients a day, not thirty. I take time to actually look at your mouth, and time to talk it through with you. If you bring your six-year-old in for their first visit, we’ll spend twenty minutes letting them count my teeth before they let me count theirs. That’s fine. That’s how it should work.
I went to dental school at UT Houston, I’m a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and I’m Invisalign-certified. None of that matters as much as whether my office feels like a place you’d want to come back to. I hope it does.

What happens at a first visit?
You’ll meet Dr. Shah, fill out a short health history (online beforehand if you like), get digital x-rays, and have a thorough cleaning and exam. We talk through everything we see before we recommend anything. Most first visits run 60 to 75 minutes.Are you good with kids who are anxious about the dentist?
Yes. We see children from age 1, and we never use restraint or shaming. For nervous kids we do a ‘happy visit’ first — they sit in the chair, count teeth with a mirror, take a sticker home, and that’s it. The cleaning waits for visit two. Our $99 new-patient visit (cleaning, exam, full x-rays) is open to anyone. For ongoing care without insurance we offer a simple in-house membership: $39/month covers two cleanings, exams, and x-rays per year, plus 15% off any other treatment.
